register before Oct 15/2007 non-member 675.00 after 15 oct/2007 725.00 for sat only 425.00 or sunday only 375.00
at the door after nov 2/2007 775.00 saturday only 475.00 sunday only 425.00 With these prices it's way out of my league to even attempt to justfy going. you'd think they would want to make it advantagous for Hi's to showup but this just puts the fact that if you invest in your members your members will invest in the association. I remember nachi doing something like that a while back, some sorta small shin dig they had in toronto , how was it stated the cheapest convention that gave a million dollars worth in learning back , anyways i would have enjoyed meeting yall there but don't see it in the cards this year. here is the registration link for ya to view http://www.inspectionodyssey.com/pag...%20rev%203.pdf ASNT Certified Level II Thermographer Certified Mold Inspector (Pro-Lab) Certified Mold Inspector IAC2 Certified Home Inspector INACHI 07040201 Commercial Property Inspection Certified Master Home Inspector 2008 InterNACHI member of the year Magnum Property Inspection Inspect it before you buy it 613 561 5327 office 613 929 9919 mobile We use and recommend Home Inspector Pro Software HomeGauge Software |

Plus $300 for spouse.
Really though who in their right mind would pay $775 for Saturday, and $475, $425, $375 respectively? I could afford it, but when I saw the courses I was disappointed, many home inspectors teaching home inspectors for the large part. |

Dear Home Inspectors Across Canada:
Hello ladies and gentlemen, I hope this announcement letter finds you well. Personally I always really enjoy Thanksgiving weekend - my stomach says "probably too much" - and I hope you do too! I won't take up too much of your time but there are some updates to the 2007 CAHPI Conference that you will appreciate. Firstly, when you book your accommodations at Blue Mountain please refer to either the group name "Canadian Association of Home and Property Inspectors" and/or group reservation number 31E961. Those references will guarantee you the group rates with no problems now or later. (I wonder if non CAHPI members can get the discount?) In regard to where you first go when arriving at Blue Mountain we will soon have posted on the website a map of the resort with 3 X's marking these spots - hotel registration, Conference Centre and the Gala Dinner ball room. All are at different locations but all are within minutes of each other, and all are very close to your accommodations. Blue Mountain is very well laid out. As to Education Updates, there is a First of sorts planned for the 2007 Conference and I'd like to bring your attention to it. On Sunday the 18th at 3:30 there is a Roundtable Discussion scheduled with experienced home inspectors and industry associated professionals leading an open discussion of issues relevant us all. As well don't forget that the National Certification Program has organized a fact filled breakfast session on Sunday morning, so between the two sessions Sunday promises to be a unique "state of the union" opportunity relevant to home inspectors across Canada. Our man on the ground in Collingwood is working on some excellent Technical Tours. He expects to arrange for the home inspection of a log home - there are a lot of log homes in the Collingwood area - however the actual site will always be subject to availability. However if you want to know more about log homes we have arranged for a tour of world-class builder Legendary Log Homes. Plus we are working on a tour of the local water treatment plant, the first in Canada to use Zenon water filter technology. As many of you know Zenon has residential and municipal applications. This is a chance to see it up close and in use. One of the reasons we all get together every year is to find out what's the latest technology and information that makes our businesses tick. Thank goodness for Exhibitors for supplying the latest. Exhibitors - being busy - tend to wait until later to actual firm up the deal so keep your eye on the website to see who's signed on. We expect a full compliment by the 16th, but here are few confirmed Exhibitor's - CMHC, ColourTech, Unirisk, Well Wise, Professional Home Inspectors Institute, Carson & Dunlop, OMNI Basement, Hi Port Systems, Clarke Basement Systems, FLIR, ISS and OREA. The web site Exhibitors List will be updated regularly. Don't forget the Exhibitors Meet and Greet at 6:00 PM on Friday, November 16th in the Exhibitors' Hall at the Conference Centre. You are all invited to meet and mingle and browse, another great reason to be there on Friday! While we certainly thank all of our Exhibitors and encourage you to support them, an event of this magnitude could not happen without the participation of our Sponsors. Some are also exhibitors, but not all are. Some work behind the scenes to support the profession and the conference. That's why we list them, so you'll know who they are, what they offer and how to support them. Whoa, thanks longer than I expected. Enjoy the Thanksgiving weekend and we will be talking with you again in a week or so. The 2007 Conference is sponsored in part by: Platinum Sponsors Carson Dunlop/Seneca College/OntarioLearn.com CMHC Inspection Support Services Inc. Gold Sponsors Assurance Pierre Thibodeau Inc. FREA/URS Insurance Silver Sponsor OREA See you at the best conference ever! |

I have had a good year but still can't bring myself to pay that kind money out for conference. Went to Alberta last year was not overly impressed with what was offered. The NACHI conference in To was much better and I am considering going to the up coming one, some where south of here and it will more than likley be cheaper too.

For the cost I would want top notch presenters. Not the usual repetitive crop of presenters they keep coming up with.
Also factor in the cost of dinner and hotel accomodation, gas, .... |

Ya know, one thing I noticed about the Nachi conference in TO was how friendly and outgoing everyone was. From the girls at the door, the exhibitors, and lecturers. Lots of door prizes too and other hand-outs.
It certainly was well worth the cost of attending. Nick and gang sure know how to throw a good conference. |

Rob,
Sorta like the pricing of the National. Non members price vs. members price. |

I can remember the cost of last years conference in Alberta put believe it was less than this year.I think that between the cost of the conferenc the air flight, hotel and food it was just around $1000. bucks for me plus 4 days lost buisness. Did not see any real return for the money as far educational benifit.

If Nachi gets a booth, who will man it? If you have a booth and no one mans the booth, do you still have a booth?

I would drive up for the day and man the booth as long as I don"t have to pay to get in.
