Is it possible for the moderator to get involved and start banning certain posters from the message board?

I have been going through many of the posts here to educate and bring myself up to speed on the home inspection industry. However, there is nothing worse than having to weed through needless slander, insult and accusations. No matter what organization you belong to, should we not all be conducting ourselves in a professional manner? There seems to be a few non-NACHI members that really have nothing good to say about NACHI or its members. It sounds like they want nothing to do with NACHI or its members. Now, its their perogative and their right to have their own opinion, but it does lead to a few questions.....

Why are they permitted to continue their harrassing posts unabated?

Why are these character assassins allowed to continue their insults?

I for one want to work towards building commradship and professionalism with home inspectors of all flavours and associations. To this end, I have chosen NACHI as my source and resource. However, all these repugnate posts from so-called concerned individuals who attempt to set themselves up as lawyer, judge and jury " of the home inspection industry - whether your right or wrong, it doesn't matter what you say, no one will take you seriously while your spitting venom. All it does is turn people off to the home inspection industry as a whole, and that is something that none of us want is it?

I would hope that these non-nachi members will be warned and/or banned from the message boards so that we may all get back to what this board is suppose to be about....sharing, learning and become the best dam Home Inspectors in the Industry!

From what I've been told, it worked like a charm on the Canuck BB and the OAHI BB. They were a mess, then Raymond was banned, and they reverted right back to professional bulletin boards. That's what more than one person has told me. No reason it can't work here too.

I'm not trying to stir up a hornets nest Calvin, but methinks you need to look inside NACHI as well. There are some NACHI members who are also in other orgs who also slander-ridicule this org and it's members.

You are absolutely right. Just because its not on an open forum doesn't mean the slander isn't being done on closed forums.

I am surprised actually how well everyone tolerates Dave. But then again the hits are telling another story. Could it be like a soap opera? You won't want to miss what is said next?

What hasn't apparently happened as alluded to is that the Registration to this forum is not up to snuff in keeping out imposters. Also remember this is one of the prime objectives of Dave and that is to close this forum from public viewing. Sorry non members do not dictate policy.
