Let's start with Darfu.

Black is the absense of light and white is a mixture of all colors.
Very well defined and reatable quantites.

Now climate science.....Well that's a different kettle of fish. Sorry, that's just the state of the current science when it comes to climate change. There are so many variables and none of the climate models have a track record of accurate prediction. Please let me know if you have different information as I am always willing to learn.

Michael, white is only the mixture of all colors in light... not paint. White is a lightener in paint. As for light, the light reflecting from something is why that something all but that color. In other words, a red rose is anything (or actually everything) but red. Forget I posted, I think I'm drifting .
