California Fires responsible for putting massive of amounts of CO2 in the atmosphere
About 500,000 acres of California have burned according to the latest news reports on http://news.google.com. That means about 19,200,000,000 pounds of CO2 have been pumped into the atmosphere during these tragic conflagrations. Now, a large SUV emits about 700 grams of CO2 per mile, per http://www.sacbee.com/107/v-print/story/427690.html --that's about 1.5 pounds. Driven a typical 12,000 miles per year, that's 18,000 pounds of CO2 annually. So the CO2 emitted by the California fires is about the equivalent of roughly 1.1 millions large SUVs being driven for a year. Source |

Category: So you think Reducing Carbon Emmisions will help, Eh?
The better way: "The right approach to climate change is adaptation -- and the way to do that is to have strong economies." We will have a strong economy if we don't give up our freedom and our money to fulfill the grand schemes of big-government alarmists. and here is why: "Suppose you are very serious about making a dent in carbon emissions and could replace about 10 percent of the world's energy sources with non-CO2-emitting nuclear power by 2020 -- roughly equivalent to halving U.S. emissions. Based on IPCC-like projections, the required 1,000 new nuclear power plants would slow the warming by about 0.2 degrees Fahrenheit per century. It's a dent." Here's the Rest |

Category: Consensus?
A recent survey of the members of the IPCC reveals some very interesting views on their own work. Is there a “consensus” on global warming among the scientists participating in the UN’s Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC)? To find out, I conducted the first-ever survey of scientists participating in the most recent IPCC report. -Steve Malloy "The “climate consensus” notion functions primarily as a marketing tool for converting the public to a political viewpoint, rather than as a valid scientific approach toward understanding global warming. But even then, the survey indicates that the claimed IPCC consensus is not nearly as monolithic as we’ve been led to believe. That alone is good reason for demanding that the IPCC scientists declare and defend their positions in a public forum." SURVEY STORY |

Old Info but OH! so true .
...Cookie http://www.spiked-online.com/Articles/000000005591.htm Malaria is on the increase in all tropical regions of the planet - especially in Africa. In 2000, the disease killed more than one million people and made 300million seriously ill. According to Professor Wen Kilama of the African Malaria Vaccine Testing Network in Tanzania, 'Malaria is equivalent to crashing seven jumbo jets filled with children every day'. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Added later Tuesday 13 November 2007 http://www.spiked-online.com/index.p.../article/4075/ If I can answer any questions please send me email Roycooke@hotmail.com On an inspection and need immediate help call my cell 613-827-2011 Last edited by rcooke; 11/19/07 at 1:32 PM.. |

If anyone needed more proof that the eco-Gorbal Warming crowd doesn't like people, Here is some more. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Meet the women who won't have babies - because they're not eco friendly ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Now if the rest of Al Gore's friends would just join her I might start to believe they are serious. |

What I can't "wrap my head around" is the fact that there is anyone who believes these nuts. I'm glad they are heartily participating in the process of natural selection. On the other hand, what will the world be deprived of becasue her children were never born?
I have been told the earth is overpopulated since I was 12. We are still here and most are better fed than ever. Abundant energy is the cure not the disease! |

Let's pave it all!! Then we don't need off road vehicles for our suburban landscapes. No chance of our tires ever touching dirt or gravel!! Michael, can you still go safely swimming in all your old swimmin' holes or are there abundant fish in all your old haunts. I can't that..... tells me something about what's going on!! In the late 1980's-1990's ,on the east cost of Canada, we had the collapse of the biggest fishery (cod) due to overfishing. So we cut back fishing drastically and the cod still have not come back!! It must be those seals eating all the cod now is the response by the weakminded......putting 2+2 together is impossible for these imbecils!! 60% of the oceans' fish stocks are now under the same pressure.......so how long can this abundance continue? ps....I wouldn't eat the shrimp from China, India, Thailand, Malaysia and others!!! |

Brian,
You worry far to much about things beyond your control. The fish stocks will recover eventually when the free market is allowed to work. An yes it is progress. Mankind has made great progress in feeding everyone. It's corrupt governments, wars and ineffiecent delivery systems that cause the regional shortages. |

Was is allowing free markets a problem? In the U.S. the federal goverment has very few constutionally mandated responsibilities. Unfortunately the pols seek ways to maintain control over peoples lives by ever increasing laws and regulations in the name of "doing good". Most often they get it wrong. |
