But do you remember how stupid people thought he was when he began an upstart cable-based, 24 hour, news only network in 1980 or so to go up against the big 3- ABC, NBC, CBS. How are you going to compete against the giants???

Read carefully. The BBC reporter changed his story at the request of a global warming activist and didn't bother to change the time stamp on the article. He also changed the enough to make it consistent with the AGW crowd's propaganda.
