WEB FICTION!!!!! BTW, an anonymous Email was was sent to me today from "Good Inspector" through the regular internet. It contained a few posts that must be from the members only forum as I could not find them on the public boards that I have access to. Here's the post with identities removed: "Thought I would pass this on to you....funny. NACHI at it's finest.... Large 4k + sq ft 2 1/2 year old home. Main breakers were 2 x 125amps. 2 AFCI circuit breakers, no GFCI breakers. Two double taps, one live 220 conductor sitting loose in the panel with a maret on it. GFCI outlet in master bath only. GFCI box on wall in masterbath for hot tub. One bedroom showed a hot reverse polarity indication at the outlets. One bathroom showed no power at counter outlet. Any thoughts - I was surprised to find such a can of worms in an almost new home? Quote: Originally Posted by .......... 2 joined 125 amp main breakers, is why I noted 250 amp panel. Same as 2 100 amp joined breakers in most of the 200 amp panels. Was I wrong? Customer was suggested to have electician look at it sooner then later, was looking for feedback on similar experiences, not troubleshooting problems per se. thanks ........., this was discussed before in some other threads. You have two breakers, let's say 100A, because each one controls its own phase when you have 240V supply into the house. You never add them up. The fact that its written 200A on the panel means that the panel is good for 200A service, and not that the service is 200A. You still have only 100A." And this gent is "certified" and franchising / training new inspectors!!!!! Lord help us!!! Do you have an intervention team?? |

Stop what?
Look at the title of the thread. Who started this thread anyway? Oh, yes. RCOOKE did. No surprise there... We owe Mr Macneish absolutely nothing. He is a non-member guest. If he likes Roy so much, perhaps he should move next to them. I dont really care. Its important to remember that folks shouldnt come to this place with the intention to be smart-*****es, then act shocked and dismayed when someone sticks it where the sun dont shine. |

[quote=Brian A. MacNeish]You already have!!! Let them walk in the front door for a mere $289, virtually no proctored testing and any wannabe can and will become a home inspector.
[quote] Some new info from the web: "I have sold more franchises in the first six months than I gave myself three years to sell. There are a lot of people who want to become home inspectors*- Head Office shows you how to sell them franchises. It has been that simple and straight forward for me." *MOST OF THEM POOR 90% SUCKERS!!!!.........("You mean I can become a "Certified Home Inspector" in 2 weeks. Here's my cheque. Where do I sign") "Our experience, knowledge, expertise and success (all 2 years of it) – which we want to share with you" Kinds of sounds like the government, remember the old line: "Hi! I'm from the government and I want to help you!" These folks are using INACHI (or abusing suckers) for their own gains!!! Ah! the free market system. Buyer Beware!! Shouldn't be too long before the government regulates here!! Last edited by Brian A. MacNeish; 6/18/08 at 9:01 AM.. |

So now this board is allowing posts from large glass jugs of sweetened and flavored water?
Oh, the depths we have sunk to And, the board actually has a "banned" description? Nick, I know that "any pub is good pub, but this is ridiculous. Brian, I've explained before that the use of proctored exams harm consumers. Do you need me to explain again?

Its about time you looked internally to see what is wrong No one I repeat No one was more dedicated to NACHI and worked harder to make NACHI a winner. I spent many hours helping any member I could . I with help from others who have also very disappointed with NACHI Had The First , The second , the third ,the forth, the fifth, NACHI Canadian meetings. I with My wife went to many meeting ( 125 miles each way)to help set up the first Canadian Conference . Char and I worked our buts off at the Conference for four Days, for free. Then I get removed from NACHI ( never told why never offered a chance to defend my self ) Get attacked for standing up for fair play. You have people like Joe Farsetta who is mean spiteful and vindictive who is destroying NACHI by having me and others who loved NACHI gone . Well Guys you got it, look close and see why have many great Home Inspectors quit helping . Go into the archives and see how great the help was. When I make a post to try and explain ask question or try to improve things I get attacked. I Care less about what Happens with the Few loud mouths attacking me and other great long time members . NACHI is in a whirl pool and is being sucked into the vortex. Attacking me and my wife sure does not say much for some NACHI members . Maybe now is a great time to impliment the no posting for non members and have the 25.00 posting only membership.
this way they can only read what is posted and they have to pay to play.... Besides the fact that this has been explaind to him VERY CLEARLY in writing and in the spoken tounge of english ( canadian english) which made it very simple for him to understand.... I am completley bewildered as to why this has started again and as to why it continues, but alas we all have our vices, guess canadians have rc ASNT Certified Level II Thermographer Certified Mold Inspector (Pro-Lab) Certified Mold Inspector IAC2 Certified Home Inspector INACHI 07040201 Commercial Property Inspection Certified Master Home Inspector 2008 InterNACHI member of the year Magnum Property Inspection Inspect it before you buy it 613 813 2353 mobile We use and recommend Home Inspector Pro Software HomeGauge Software |
