I was a member of IHINA several years ago and realized that I did not need to belong to an association to declare myself independent.

Thus, I declared my independence from the Independent Home Inspectors of North America and incorporated much of their positions into my own.

While they do address, by attempting to make the public aware of who NOT to hire to do a home inspection, part of the problem ---- they offer little to solve it.

Dennis Robitaille, by the way, played a major role in helping us kill the 2007 attempt of the Missouri Association of Realtors to take control over our state's home inspectors through legislation.
