One of our members told me that when he sent in his TIPR report and was failed he called the examiners up to find out why he failed.
Examiner "You did not include the fireplace"
Inspector "I did not say anything about the fireplace because there was no fireplace"
Examiner " That's why you failed"
He's now a happy member of InterNACHI.
I should also point out that cahpi insists that the student complete 250 fee paid inspections before attempting the tipr. Then they brag that they fail 84% of the tipr reports.
So that means the 84% of the 250 fee paid inspections failed.
Totally unacceptable process. How is this process protecting the consumer?

All together now......Cha-chiiinnnnggggg!!!

Get those cash registers ringing at Claude's house which, coincidentally, is where you will be storing all of your valuables on the way to the showers.

The only protection that this system offers is the perceived protection against competition from those stupid enough to pay these guys to fail their arbitrary test.

How about they simply start their own franchise, sucker in newbies for $10,000 and control them with superficial regulations? I am perfectly willing to let my performance and the market determine my success or failure.

Better than raping an entire industry, IMO.

It protects the next 250, the first 250 are practice inspections,

FACT: The "established" CAHPI/NCP program is dead!
FACT: They left a lot of people - who had paid $500 to get their TIPR - empty handed and with nowhere to go.
FACT: NHICC has replaced CAHPI as the accreditation body for the National Certification.
FACT: Barring any error on my part, the NCH is still the only valid credential accepted by BC (Some CanNACHI members may argue this and they may have a very valid point...)

Claude, am I missing something?

I expect you removed your posts so that no one can follow the posts to see that it's a privately run corporation with no votes by NCH's..

But again this is typical of what has gone on for years.
But these previous post's are just what has gone on with the NCA ?PHPIO?CAHPI?NHICC? for the last few years if we had been given the full facts from the get go then jus possibility this could have been the best for our industry.
I an others are so confused by all the accusation given many have been called liars ( me especially) ( when asked for where I lied never once was it backed up )
We have been given incorrect info exaggerated information and denied facts.
I and others no longer understand where Bill Mullen and Claude Lawrenson
are going and what their ulterior motive is .
This is the future of our industry and if you want me and others support we deserve to know all the truthful facts .
Not the minimum you wish to supply . Example Claude owns (Nationalhomeinspector.org )
I get a very sour taste in my mouth with the lack of proper disclosure

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The National Home Inspector Certification Council (NHICC) will shortly be announcing dates and locations for several TIPR sessions around Ontario. This is an opportunity for all those forced into Limbo when CAHPI and its provincial associations decided to cancel the NCP.
