Once again, the Home Inspection profession has been blind-sided. OntarioACHI has been working with the Ministry of Labour and trying to work with the WSIB for over 18 months on the issues affecting our industry due to the introduction of Bill-119.
This process started on April 22nd of this year and was intended to be completed by June 30th, 2015. This completion deadline has now been extended to October 2, 2015.
We recommend everyone check out the web broadcast, and comment. The only way we are going to remove the inconsistencies in the WSIB application of the WSIA requirements is to speak up now.
There will not be another review for 2 years, by which time the Bill would have been in play for 4 years, giving the WSIB more reason to think they don’t need to change it.
