Default Air mold testing question

Do you guys take samples in the garage if its raining outside for the control sample?

No, the standard I use calls for the outside sample to be at least 20 feet away from building, in an open area without any trees or straw, and calm wind.

According to what I have read and been taught, could be incorrect, that air samples are not to be taken if it is raining.

Ya, it is mainly who you talk to. Let your industrial hygienist set the standard, and always note the weather and wind conditions on your Chain of Custody. It is always best to wait 24 hours after a rain before pulling any samples, not always feasible though.

I received a call from a rep at ProLab the other day. He said that they changed the protocols and that is was OK to take the samples outside even if it was raining.
