Some use it as a final step in mold remediation. The area is sealed off at time of activation, and well ventilated prior to re-occupation.

It does make mold look pretty funky when the process is completed.

Ozone machines should only be used by professionals. They are very effective in odor control. We use them in fire & smoke damage situations under a controlled environment. Ozone can cause bleaching to contents that are damp/wet & can damage natural rubber . Just my 2 cents.
