Otherwise its your really your choice - as well as others that want to pursue it. Maybe more so to the point - I would seek the opinion and experience of others that practice in this field. It also brings into question "removing anything from the home" regardless of value unless it is approved by the home owner.

Are you talking about removing samples? e.g.drywall.

If I worried about risk I would not leave my house.Claude is there no risk in inspecting a house? Or building a deck? I think we take risks just being in business.

Home inspectors don't need to be experts... they need to know how to take mold samples properly, record chain of custody, and send them off to the lab.

And to learn that... 8 hours was plenty long enough.

The other 7 hours and 45 minutes did educate me enough to speak with my clients about the basics of mold though (something every inspector should do whether they offer mold testing services or not), so it was worth it.
Nick that sounds like an endorsement... Shouldn't you be un-biased in things offered to your members and provide them both sides of the story?
Do you get $s back for every member that uses Pro Lab??

Just out of curiosity, . Did you take the same course for Radon testing?
I here that you were the radon expert in PA...

Agreed, but as home inspectors our major concern is the root cause of the mold condition, (moisture) the red-flags and the repairs that will be necessary once the mold condition is corrected. What I like about Pro-Lab is that I can concentrate on doing my job and let Pro-Lab do theirs.

When the inspection is complete I issue a Square-One report detailing the moisture intrusion problems and then forward Pro-Lab's report detailing the contamination issues. I can then confidently tell my clients that if they have questions with the Square-One report to call me and if they have questions regarding the lab report to call 1-800-ProLab, no other lab respects & protects the home inspector like Pro-Lab.
