Default New CMI Qualification - Jan. 1, 2008

New CMI Qualification starting Jan. 1, 2008

A new qualification has been added to the list of CMI conditions and will go into
affect Jan. 1, 2008. This new condition of approval will be for all NEW applicants
only (it does not affect current CMI's).

See highlighted item in list below:

Quote:
The Master Inspector Certification Board, Inc. is a non-profit 501(c)(6), tax-exempt organization dedicated to promoting excellence in the inspection industry. The Board holds the registered Trademark Certified Master Inspector® (CMI), the inspection industry’s top professional designation, and awards it qualifying inspectors who have demonstrated a high level of competency by:
  1. Completing 1,000 fee-paid inspections or hours of inspection-related continuing education (combined) in their lifetime.
  2. Proving they've been in the inspection business for at least 3 years.
  3. Abiding by the industry's toughest Code of Ethics.
  4. Substantially following a Board approved Standards of Practice.
  5. Submitting to a criminal background check.
  6. Applying for Board certification by signing the affidavit in front of a Notary.
See CMI web page:

Thank you for your patience, as the details of this change have been resolved, and it is
now time for the change. The new 3 year qualification will be good for consumers and
inspectors alike...IMHO.
