No, you can't find a job on this website. If you're looking to become a home inspector, this is a good place to start, but you haven't even scratched the surface.
Like any business or profession, there are start-up costs involved. You should expect to spend several-thousands of dollars initially, before you perform your first inspection. We tend to make it look easy. We walk around the house with our clip boards and our flashlights.
However, I recommend you watch this free show http://www.nachi.tv/episode53 to get a little sense of what all we have to know, just in one area of the process. Nick Gromicko, CMI Founder World's biggest, best inspection association "Planet InterNACHI... resistance is futile" |

In what area do you live? Perhaps, one of our members would allow you to tag-along, which would give you an idea of what we do and how we do it. Good luck |

Try these guys for more info. They've got an office in Oceanside, not to far from Hemet...
http://www.home-inspect.com/ You can also try contacting your local Ameri-spec office, they're occasionally looking to train new inspectors with little or no experience. Good Luck! |

What's up with the erratic spaces around the punctuation? It's giving me high blood pressure.

I am new to this and I could really use some assistance. I have been in the construction industry for over 20 years and now I have made a transition over to home inspections. My dilemma is, I'm trying to find a good reasonable E & O insurance policy. that has descent coverage and won't take you to the CLEANERS on expense, if you know what I mean.
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. Thank You |

Try Bob Pearson at Marion Allen Insurance in Georgia (800) 474-4472. He's a friend of mine, an ex-inspector, and has E & O on a per-inspection basis, which I think works for people who are just starting out or who are doing limited amounts of inspections. Having said that, and although I believe that having insurance is a moral and ethical responsibility, the best way to probably avoid being sued is not to have insurance. Oops, did I say that?
