Despite the rapidly growing knowledge about mold, mold remediation remains the subject of a lot of confusion. We offer this Continuing Education class so that when you select or recommend a remediation company, you can make an informed and intelligent decision.

In this class, we’ll examine what mold is and its health effects on people. You will learn what action should be taken to remove mold in a safe and reasonable manner. And you will learn the most important secret about mold in buildings.

Continuing Education objectives are to provide property and casualty insurance professionals with an increased understanding of the process and benefits of Mitigation to overall property loss restoration. We place an emphasis on the cost-saving benefits of quick response and correct action in a loss situation along with enhanced customer service to provide peace of mind to the policyholder as a result. The course instruction format is a combination of instructor presentation, short video segments, relevant handouts, and hands-on exercises that require student participation.

The following is a brief overview of the course offered by ServiceMaster One Call Restoration:
Mold Remediation

introduces the science of mold and explores its potentially harmful effects on building materials and occupants. This class will show how mold grows, how it spreads, and what actions should be taken to remove mold in a safe, effective, and reasonable manner. We will address procedures such as containment, negative air, and the proper use of personal protective equipment in removing mold. (3 CE hours)
