Default Another Heat Vent

This time I didn't need the builder to confirm anything. The vent pipe was visible (due to an improperly installed fire-stop) in the attic, and you can see that it's in contact with the drywall.

Nice catch.

Your IR image reminds me of one of my IR inspections, where there was a heat pipe behind a plaster wall.

No, I was able to verify that it is indeed a B-vent. . .

Sorry I was looking at the seam we don't use Class B here with a seam.
