A DU-220 is Retrotec's automated Duct Testing System. This system consists (in general) of a DU200-series fan, DM-2A digital gauge with automatic control, a flexible duct, bag etc.
The DG-700 is TEC's digital gauge Tim |

Here if you guys want to really check out all the Retrotec products check these out:
http://www.youtube.com/user/RetrotecEnergy#p/u if you click the uploads link (semi upper right of their profile page) all their videos come up. There are several videos on the DM2-A. And the Q56 setup as well as the 2 part video on the modular panel set up explaining how those work. JJ Last edited by jkaylor; 1/12/10 at 7:23 PM.. |

"Jason,
I don't understand where the Minneapolis door can only do 50 or 25 Pa.? I looked at the DG-700 micro manometer after we talked on the phone about this. This manometer has many different modes of operation." This refers to the cruise setting on the DG 700 manometer. It has two settings which are 25 and 50 pascals. You set it and can walk away and it will keep the fan at 25 or 50 pa respectively. The Retrotec manometer (I want one but the non prof in oregon only really use the MBD) as I understand it, can step up or down by any pascal number and can cruise there. Also it can take into account the volume of the house and give you ACH@50 ACHn and CFM@50, pretty handy. The reason I would go with the Q4E if I ws anything other than non profit is the 2 horse fan over the 0.75 horse fan that comes with the MBD. I suggest really looking at what the specs are and comparing it to what you do for a living to find out what is right for you. Sadly I am posting this almost a year out from the original post so your mind has most likely already been made up. Well, if you ever plan on setting a blower door up on a 4k to 6k building you may need to upgrade. The limits of the fan are more meaningful to me than the wonderful plethora of calculations that Retrotecs BD has over the MBD. Anywho... |
