I tried the place he is talking about, the web price is one amount, the price over the phone is less and then they sent me an emailed quote that was even less but they did not show the shipping on the first quote. I'm not posting any prices since it appears to be a "cut your own deal". http://www.transcat.com/Catalog/Prod...Cat=TE&SubCat=

I will say that you won't find a new Tir for $3295 unless it is a demo unit or something. Now, wait 6 months and they may be $1995 who knows.

I ended up doing John McKenna's limited time deal, training, TiR, and a free nachi renewal and came out better than transcat.

A digital camera is sensitive to the IR wavelength though.

Ever notice how moisture in a foundation wall stands out more than what you see etc.?

You can see the IR from your TV remote transmitter...

Or you can look at your remote with your phone camera and see if the remote is working.

How much do you use Smartview Mark? I see you are converting to .jpg, do you use its other features? It is really amazing what it can do, and how good of reports it can generate.
