Hello JJ
I am assuming that you are talking about the Picture in picture or Ir fusion.
I use it for the reports it is as easy as putting in the sd card in the computer and copying the pics into the report. I changed the setting to jpg because that was the only setting that i could get the computer to read. I like the ease of use and the picture mode right at your fingertips. It's great. My clients really like the camera. I give a demo onsite at the inspection. Most of the time i use the auto setting but if i cannot get a good pic i will change it manual. I have changed the palette if i need to make a more definite pic for the client. Color pics seem to be the way to go for the reports. Black and white don't show the image as well.
Again I really like the camera.
Mark

yeah, I find myself doing actual inspections in full screen IR in black and white. But when I generate a report or am showing a customer I always use the standard blue/red pallette and will often use fusion or picture in picture.

I find black and white the easiest to focus in, and find issues with.

I personally do not care for the Black and white palette.

I utilize the IRON palette on a daily basis. The IRON palette will display the colors blue and purple as Cold spots and the red and orange colors as Hot spots.

Peter,

I utilize the Flir B-2 due to its higher resolution difference from the other B-Cams.
FLIR B2 Specifications.pdf

This particular IR camera has been great for me but it has been discontinued by FLIR. I'm going to look into upgrading this IR camera (next month - while participating in the ITA IR Energy Audit Certification course ) for an even better IR camera with an even higher resolution.

These ITA courses are held at Flir facilities in Billerica, Massachusetts so getting my existing IR camera calibrated and any other IR camera requests can be done right there on-site, while I'm my sitting in my class. It's only a twenty minute drive from my office.

Dave, if you would let me know what camera you go with and what you think of the class. I need to upgrade my camera this year but not sure what I want.

My next training will be level 1. I'll go back to Billerica too, about an hour for me. I took my B/S training there and really like it.

Thanks, Pete

Will do.

I know a few representatives of FLIR who will allow me to play with the IR cameras right there on site, while I'm participating in the course. I'm definitely going to upgrade but I'm not sure which camera out of the four on my want list.

These are my choices....

Do you have any idea how much the B-360 goes for?

Somewhere in the 12 grand range for the MSRP, but I've seen discounted rates at nine grand from distributors.

Maybe you and I can obtain a package price for two of these B360's?
