Default FLIR, Thanks for the awesome support!

Glad it all worked out for you Brandon. One thing that I think everyone needs to realize about large companies is their customer service reps are numerous and generally have a high turn over rate. For the most part they are trained with a manual for responses and generally just are getting through the day. It is a tough part of a company to motivate and train. This is obviously not true for every customer service rep, but the stereotype holds fairly strong. This is not just a FLIR issue.

We have been dealing with manufacturers and customer service departments since 1991 and the story gets worse as the company size gets larger.

If you guys learn one thing about Brandon's experience, deal with a distributor or some higher up rep. when you want to get something done. I cannot tell you how many times a customer calls us extremely frustrated at a company's customer service department and we usually can take care of the issue(s) with a couple of phone calls.

JJ

Brandon, Please consider starting another thread with a title like, "I don't hate Flir any more!".

Your post is on page #1 of Google.
Your second thread will also be there in about 15 min.
I think in light of their response, they deserve it.

I saw your post on Google when I was looking up "facts" for ldapkus.

Sorry John M. I made another post!
You see, I work behind the scenes. Unlike those that want to just promote their own agenda.

Brandon, I spoke with Tom today and he asked if we could change the title of the thread. May I?

I know Tom very well also, and his response to Brandon's plight is not the exception, that is the way he is. A "get it done", "take care of the customer" kind of guy. Glad it worked out Brandon.

Hey Nick,

I would very much appreciate you changing the title of the thread. I actually tried changing it in my first post but it only changed the title to that particular post.

Change it to something lile "FLIR, Thanks for the awesome support" or similar if you will.

I received all my shipping info from FLIR yesterday afternoon. Even those guys have been showing incredible support. I have 1 inspection today then I'll be packing my camera up and sending it to FLIR. I'm actually leaving to work happy about the situation and also excited about getting the opportunity to soon be offering inspections with a FLIR 320 x 240 resolution camera.

I'd like to thank you personally for getting me in contact with Tom and the other folks at FLIR. I'll always be thankful of the way you and the FLIR guys immediately jumped on this situation and bent over backwards to help me out.

I guess it is all about who you know. It seems this forum is proving to be a good place to find the people to know.

Thanks again,
Brandon

I agree Rick is a good guy, I just purchased a T300 from Rick and got a GOOD deal!! Make sure you get a quote from him before you make your final decision on a new FLIR Thermal Imager.
