$500? That's all? They must think we are nuts!
Maybe we are, after all we spend thousands on IR cameras from manufacturers such as Fluke and Flir not to mention training costs. This reminds me a similar program Home Depot had going on several years ago with Husky tools. They would allow you to trade your broken/damaged or in many cases, perfectly good working ratchets and wrenches for new Husky tools. People were trading their Snap-On and Mac tools for Husky junk!
BTW Snap-On and Mac tools have a lifetime warranty. No questions asked, if it’s broken or damaged they will replace it with new.

Yeah I am almost wondering if that is a mis-print. I wonder if they meant any old Fluke meter. I cannot think of a single Fluke IR camera that wouldn't sell for at least $1500 on the open market. That would be their original IR insight camera, even then that camera could still fetch $2500. Many thermographiers consider that one of the very best cameras of its era. The XS models often times had a thermal sensitivity under 50mk. I have heard, from many different people, that there were XS models that approached the 25mk range.

Edited: I guess it isn't a mis-print. I thought it was either that or someone else putting out the PR since it said Fluke Products in the logo instead of Fluke Corporation. Here is the actual page on their site. http://us.fluke.com/usen/WhereToBuy/...ashforclunkers

On a side note, Toy R US also took a page out of the "for clunkers" program. I heard it mentioned, while getting ready the other morning, on CNBC. I think it is a 20% discount/trade in program for larger ticket items like furniture. It started yesterday. Funny thing is I just happened to be shopping a new bed for my 2-1/2 year old boy.
