Default Fusion

I forget who turned me onto PhotoScape, but this is an awesome "FREE" program. Everyone using IR should use it!

If you want the numbers off, save as a bitmap before photoscape merge.

Thank you, Bob

When I purchased my camera from FLIR, they talked me into getting a package deal that included a wide angle lense and the Reporter Pro 8.2 software, which has a ton of capibilities. It's working out great for my new business!

FLIR just announced an upgrade to the 8.3 version, which has picture -in-picture "Fusion" capibilities. With a little tweaking, PhotoScape can produce that exact same "Fusion" images. However, what's cool about the full 8.3 software, is that I can move the IR image all over the digital image and resize as needed. This is all done on the fly in the program.

Anyways, thx!!

Kevin

Hmm, I'll have to think about a free video editing program. I've been using Adobe Premiere for years but it certainly is not free! I know of a few utilities on linux that work, let me see if they have windows counterparts.

I have been looking also, but have shelved the search.

I use windows movie maker when I need it.

I have been screen capturing Real Player, but looking into possible hybrid reports depending on if fast edit is possible.

Reports are long enough.

Dominic wrote some instructions down to help change sizes and move photos
around within the program. Thanks Dom,

First Crop the Infrared Pic
1. Click Editor at the top.
2. Find your overlay photo (infrared) and click on it.
3. Click on crop and crop this photo how you want it.
4. Click save to save it.

Now for the overlay
1. Click Editor at the top (probably already there).
2. Find your base photo and click on it.
3. On the bottom, click on the Object Tab.
4. Click the Photo button (little picture of mountains and a sun)
5. Click Photo.
6. Browse and select the photo you're overlaying. Lower it's
opacity (aka transparency) to a value you like.
This allows you to see through to the bottom image.
7. Move the image to the spot you want it at.
8. Click Photo + Objects, click Ok.
9. Click Save.

Here is a sample of my first try with this program...

John how is your video inspection idea going?

I am close to getting a camcorder for use in editing still shots off it.

Amazing what a video can capture due to different angles , plus the ability to voice record and play back on your PC.
I believe cameras do not catch voice to computer do they?

Some do. They record separate wav files.
