Angry Inspectortools.com

Just wanted to let my fellow inspectors know about these clowns. Their website has a "100% price match guarantee", until you call to order and then they say they cannot honor so & so's pricing, because the smaller dealers have messed up on the pricing, and can no longer get the cameras.

That is chicken****!!! If you advertise something, you should stand behind it. I strongly urge anyone thinking of dealing with these quacks to re-think, as they are not a very professional company!!!

InspectorTools.com is a very "professional" and honest company. I have purchased tools from them in the past and have found them to be one of the best tool companies in our industry.

For you to post derogitory comments like "quacks" and "clowns" is completely uncalled for and very "Unprofessional" on your part.

If a company advertizes something, then fails to live up to the advertized promise, I would call that unprofessional.

If they don't want to honor their advertized word, then they should take it off.

Simple, really.

Wow, Kevin, that's a pretty contrasting comment to the flavor of the thread. I was merely giving an opinion to allow other inspector to be aware of the factual situation. I have since recieved 12 PM's from other inspectors having similar issues with them....who's "professional"?

And Mr. Bell isn't worth commenting about. You should just stay in your "boot camp" where you might appear somewhat intelligent.

Greg,

What I love most about this site is just this: More members contributed to that particular cause than the ones who replied with negativity. And the general consensus was that if we open up our hearts and give, and the recipient isn't being forthright, we will not be judged wrongly for giving.

If you call that a sucker, then i'll always be one. I'm not sure you can understand this concept, as you have no brotherhood values. It appears as though you may be lacking in family values, also. Keep up the good work !

If a company does the old "Bait & Switch" and does not honor their advertisment to me that is unprofessional. They should stand buy their word and not make excuses or get rid of the add claiming to match any price, IMO.

I guess calling them quacks and clowns is not needed, however we should let eachother know when a company does not do what they say.....That's the great benifit of this MB.

Giving an opinion about a specific situation you experienced with a company is one thing, but calling them "Quacks" and "Clowns" is totally different.

Surely you can see the difference, can't you?

For the record, I have no control of what gets posted in a thread after my comments, so I'm not sure what Greg has against you, but I have nothing against you.

Just thought the "method" of letting other inspectors know about your experience with InspectorTools was just as "Unprofessional" as you are claiming them to be.

That's all!!

My point exactly Mathew.

For anyone else, go to www.hi-essentials.com , or just look a couple threads up for the price on a Fluke TiR. Then go to www.inspectortools.com , and lookup the same instrument, and note their "100% price match guarantee". Then call them and see what ya get.

All I ask is that ALL companies, and people for that matter, to do what you advertise you will. If not, I beleive them to be unprofessional, and will expose them so that others have the facts before they encounter similar issues.

I apologize if I offended anyone by calling InspectorTools.com quacks and clowns. That was definitely a personal interjection that should have been left out.

And to all others who have pm'ed me, YOU ARE WELCOME!!!

Hey David,
1)what were you looking for?
2)what price were you trying to beat?
3)what company gave you the lowest price?

I have seen "fly by night" companies "quote" low prices but when you actually purchase the item you get grey market, remanufactured or screwed.
A company has to make a profit to stay in business. I can't beat a price which is below my cost....

Your mileage may vary.

Dick,

1. Fluke TiR
2. HI essentials offers it to iNachi members for $3995
3. HI essentials is $3995, Berg Engineering is $4045 (InspectorTools.com is $4495, and will not honor their own advertisement)

Make sense?

Inspectortools.com will not match Inachi member $$ from HI-Essentials, however they did match the $4295 price advertised to the general public on their site. I had no issue with Ispectortools.com. I asked for it, I got it.
Hi-Essentials gave me horrible service, I had to canel my order after waiting nearly 5 weeks. Inspectortools.com sent me my camera they had in stock the next day!

Michael,

I would've been just as happy with the $4295 price match. However, I talked with "David" from inspectortool.com, and he said he would not move from their list price for ANY competitor unless he could verify they had it in stock at that time. Not sure why I would be calling him if someone else had it in stock for a cheaper price????????

Do you know who you purchased from (salesman)?

Thanks, Dave
