Hmmm...so I don't think I need one that holds 1000 pictures, the BCam should be just fine I would think for a grand less.

Or am I missing something?

I know for a fact the res is the same but the SD holds 1000 jpegs. The SD may have a 1/2 inch larger screen - check for sure.

The SD holds more pictures (not that I would ever use 100o in one day!) and has better display screen resolution, but NOT better final picture resolution.

I like the ability of the SD to highlight the dew point and set relectivity and such. There are, usually, over looked features that can come in REAL HANDY if you know how to use them.

Hope this helps;

BCAM works for me. All the settings don't affect the image you see on the screen and that is what you need to find defects.

Dale,

To confuse you even more, exterior images under the right conditions using any thermal camera have that WOW effect. No offense to Roy, but his images are not apple to apple comparisons.

WOW! just so all understand I am a rank amateur on the IR Camera and never have I said or insinuate any thing different .
No way did I make this statement or any thing like it .
Dale made an error with what he says .
Just to clear this Up.
I bought my Camera in late November and never used it out side my home before I took the Course in Early December.

So the stock BCAM does not have these capabilities? How do you adjust for reflectivity in the stock BCAM then?

Are there any other differences between the two? What about streaming video? I noticed on the free online courses and some other videos FLIR has put out, they seem to be able to capture a stream of the images, can you do that with one/either/both/none?

Just trying to confuse Dale more...

Roy,What insinuation are you even talking about?? All I said is that you are not comparing apples to apples with your photo samples. 3 out of 4 images with the original FLIR camera are interior views. Then you have the SD model with four exterior photos. Therefore, at least in my opinion, it was not a proper side by side comparison of the two cameras. I never said you did anything bad. GEEZZ...

I am sorry ,
These are not my pictures they where pictures found on the FLIR advertising and they did not copy the way they where shown in the add.
They came from under the two cameras.
