The Maine Association of Building Efficiency Professionals is excited to announce the 2012 Energy Expo. This year is the 3rd annual event and will be held Jan 18th and 19th at the Holiday Inn by the Bay in Portland. The Expo is an annual professional conference focused on an array of topics relating to reducing energy consumption and promoting alternative energy sources. MABEP is a group of mostly nationally certified professionals consisting of Weatherization Contractors, Energy Auditors, HERS Raters, Renewable Energy Contractors and Associated Companies. MABEP is unique due to the diversity of the group combined with the fact that the members are active working hands on in the field. As a group, MABEP member companies work together to help the citizens of Maine reduce energy consumption and grow the economy. This diversity and practical experience shows itself in an exciting variety of topics scheduled for the 2 day event. The sessions include residential and commercial case studies, ventilation, HERS ratings, solar, wood, energy star, energy auditing, infrared camera, green building, as well as discussion of financing options.
