Bob...

The National Association of Commercial Building Inspectors and Thermographers is not a certifying body like some are used to seeing with home inspector associations. We are a professional trade association geared to developing a network of qualified commercial building inspectors across the country. NACBI offers free access to the message board for anyone interested in learning about commercial property inspections. If you wish to join the association and have access to other areas of the site, there are certain steps that must be completed to become a Full Member. Once you pay your dues for the first year, you are considered a Candidate member. After that, you have to edit your profile on the website according to the minimum requirements we have established. Part of which is uploading a sample report of a commercial property inspection that is compliant with ASTM E-2018 reporting guidelines. You may also upload an infrared inspection report that is compliant with Infraspection Institute published standards for thermal imaging inspections. After your profile is complete and you notify us for it to be reviewed, we look at everything and determine if it meets our minimum standards that we have outlined. If it does, you are granted Full Membership status which allows for even more benefits than Candidate Members.
