I think the inspection video was a great tool, and it helped remind me of some things I do, and some things I don't do (or didn't until I saw the video.)
Last week, I did a golf-course home with over 100 windows - most of which looked out onto the course... and 7 of which were broken from golf balls. (It was a vacant, bank-owned house) I wound up checking and testing each and every window in the 4K+ square foot house. And as I was going over the results with my client, we had a ball land 10 feet away from us - in the driveway in front of the house!

James,

I thought this was a very well done episode! Thanks for letting us observe you in action.

Here in Colorado we do have issues with bees (I have them in my shed every year). On the house you looked at, I noticed the bees nest was near a gable vent. I really liked how you discuss that with your clients, especially with the severity of bee allergies people have. I am curious if you discuss with your clients (either verbally or in the report) the potential/none potential of bees entering the attic through the gable vent and if you could provide any talking tips for us?

Thanks again for the informative video.

Jonathan

Are you sure that's a bee's nest? Looks like wasps to me.

The one thing that most viewers do not realize is that....

Jim did not rehearse one thing.

I pushed record on my video camera, and off we went. No stopping. That's amazing. Most talents that appear in front of my camera need to start, stop, reword, redo, etc. They trip up, or stumble over their own words.

Not Jim.

He did the inspection, just like any inspector would. No preparation. Just get out of the truck and start inspecting.

That's one thing not realized by most who view this educational video. We did no rehearsing, and no re-takes.

Nick should be banned from NACHI for degrading a thread into a childish rant.

It is one of the most popular videos.
Last time I checked the stats - over 1,200 unique viewers that played the video all the way through.
