Text on your websites - old.
Digital pictures on your website - "still" old.
Video - That's the Trend - the Latest - the BEST.

EMAIL
Soon we'll be seeing video not only on websites, but in emails too. Video email marketing - that's the next thing.

Gmail recently released a new feature for its users. That being the ability to preview YouTube videos right from your inbox. So instead of emailing "text" links to potential clients or real estate salespeople, you can send them little videos that they can open without leaving their inbox.

Video on your websites - and very soon - VIDEO ads in your emails.

That's the trend for website design - Increasing use of video. Bigger font sizes. Fewer words. More Flash. Big header images. Dynamic, interactive content.

GREAT VIDEO WEBSITE DESIGNS
#1: If I were still doing home inspections - I'd have my website designer make my website like this one http://www.prescriptives.com/lashfin...l?ngextredir=1 I like the way that I could have a video of myself talking about my inspection services while my visitor can click around other pages of my site for detailed text-based information - at the same time - without loosing them.

#2: I wish I had a home inspection website like this one too http://www.apple.com/ Big colorful images. Guided video tours. Cool, Big Fonts. Keep thinking about marketing your services with the use of images or moving images (video).

#3: At http://www.buick.com/ I like how the big, phat massive videos easily play on my computer. Amazing.

Think VIDEO. Before its
ubiquitous and everyone's doin' it.

I was doing videos of my home inspections in 2002.

How about that idea?
Video-based inspection reports.

I think the referrals is gold especially using the discount cards. Both parties see a value there. And who can argue with "Training is money".
What the heck, They're all good tips.

Jim I can attest that I've been hired many of times over the local competition here because of my website. I just posted my first video testimonial. I keep track of why people hired me so I'll let you know if this video has any impact.

Personally IMO if your going to post a video testimonial post someone who can sell your service. I firmly believe that not any testimonial will do. For example my video is from a house in Ladue and the guy is the all amercian "what I wish my kid would be like" type. Follow me? Most of my callers are women. My aim is at making them feel comfortable with what I have to offer and Travis does this for me in my video.

All I see is great stuff. However, I would make more mention of the septic system as you did not mention anything on how it is tested and by what standards...
