Nick,
Nice video, pretty informative. I took the quiz, I realize this is a new course, just letting you know there are a couple of questions on the quiz that need to be looked at.

1. What does BPI stand for ?
2. The basement was unconditioned space, so was the contractor wrong in leaving the door open.

Jarrod,
Thanks for taking the course.
What exactly are your concerns with question #1?
In relation to question #2, the basement is finished. In the video, Scott (the instructor) states that the house has a finished basement, and Cliff (the 2nd instructor) is followed around in the finished basement.
Thanks.

In regards to the basement door, the house that was audited had a crawlspace.

When I originally logged in yesterday there was a final exam and 2 CEU credits. Today there is no exam or credits, what happened.

Overall a good intro course, was looking forward to exam and CUE,s.

Is there an email for the instructures?

What IR camera was the instructer using?

Thanks!!

The instructors wanted to teach from different types of structures and spaces, including basements and crawlspaces. We actually filmed at three different locations and combined it all into one great video. The instructor made it clear that the house is connected to a finished basement. BPI Standards help guide the auditor no matter what structure type is being inspected.

I checked - the final exam is there. Try the link again, please.

I'll add the instructor's contact info soon.

The infrared camera that was used in the video was high-end. I'll try to find the manufacturer for you.

Thanks Ben

I understood the question on the basement door being opened for the test. When the auditor was interviewing the home owner(Very nice looking) she stated the energy consumption went up as she moved her office to the basement. Then he was in a crawlspace. So now it makes sense.

BPI reqiurements seem a lot easier to understand then the RESNET ones.

Makes me want to get back into the energy audit inspections.

The Resnet course somewhat deflated my aspirations.

Did OK on the test 92%. I believe I missed on some of the BPI technicial standards. Wish I could find out the ones I missed.

The info on the flex gas connectors was good. About the date on the ring.

I would like to see a BPI report done on this house.

Thanks Ben, very nice!!

I only need the plumbing course, energy audit course and a camera and I will qualify for the IRCertified logo.

I may do the BPI training along with the level 1 course.

Cliff Babson and Scott Harris, did a great job with this video. I missed one (1), I guess that I should have paid a little bit more attention. I respect the majority of home inspectors out there. I respect every member of InterNACHI, especially the CMI's. Scott Harris, is one of those CMI's, that I have a lot of respect for.

I can't believe no one jumped on this before me. The camera was a FLIR T-series. (T200/300/360 or 400)
