Providers of "free" energy audits, however, are using their "audit" as a means of providing the opportunity to promote their particular product, service or utility and their "findings" will often be limited to strictly the product or service that they came to promote. In these cases, home owners are usually not presented with all of their options for potential energy savings and may not be presented the solutions that are most suited for the challenges that their home presents toward efficient energy use.
