Default Window heights

2006 IRC R613.2 addresses minimum window heights in bedrooms.
(Maximum height above a floor (44 inches) is R310.1)

Here is a link to help you explain this minimum height to your client (whether in new or old construction) as well as links to other sites to make windows safer in existing homes if you have a need to pass along to your client.

As above, minimum window height is in 2006 IRC R613.2.

The www.windowsafe.org site helps one explain minimum window height to
others if one has a problem understanding R613.2.
