Default Good news for homeowners outside the HVHZ.

New rule changes at Citizens beginning early next year regarding Opening Protection (Question 9 on the 1802 form)...

https://www.citizensfla.com/includes...f&delete=false

Scroll down to the table on the 4th page. Option "E" on Question 9 will be classified as Class A protection outside of Miami-Dade and Broward Counties.

Someone please correct me if I'm wrong but this looks like good news for all those homeowners outside of Dade and Broward with "Hurricane Rated" garage doors, side doors, etc.

I concur -----nice.

I guess after they took the pool & screen enclosures out of the coverage they could give a little back.

Except that there is no #9 on the new proposed form it is #7 and the letters have different meanings. They will have to revise it again.
