Just an unscientific poll for wind mitigation opening protection - out of 10 average houses you inspect, how many are A & A1?
Not very many. Probably like 1-2
More like 1 out of 30 in my area. All areas are different. In the HVHZ it should be a lot more…not very scientific.:roll:
Are all areas different or is it just HVHZ & non-HVHZ? I can see proximity to the coast being a factor.
The WBDR map will give you a clue. Interior sections do not require opening protection…it is an option.
About 1 out of 10 houses for me. I would say about 2-3 miss on one glazed opening.
Be more for me if not for above statement.

I see maybe 1 out of every 40-50 houses. Have gone a month or two without seeing any impact ratings.
That’s about what I run into here in my area. Were not that far from each other.
Well, based on that small poll that’s 1:4 on average with the outliers being 1:2 and 1:50.
