No won't let me post pics. This is a tight area, the clip/strap that is there is embedded in concrete up one side with 2 nails it is bent over top and turned down other side but the hole in the clip/strap is at top side can't get nail in it to meet 3 nail requirement so I added these clips as per simpson specs. comments please.. thanks

Take many pictures and get a new inspection from a COMPETENT inspector. You will be fine. The whole process is to encourage us to harden our homes.

Yes Jay, I do not have a problem hardening my home for family. My biggest issue was the way it was handled with my insurance company, and in my opinion their hired guns. Overall to me it was not that bad of a job to tackle, I met all other areas for credit (I researched my windows and garage doors, found updated NOA ) which insurance paid for after Wilma. So your thoughts on these clips ?

It is going to be a clip until you install a wrap or two over the truss, according to the form.

Sorry Greg, Didn't catch on that I was being addressed.

Wind Mitigation discounts have 1 rule and 1 rule only.
"Cost versus benefit"

Prior to spending a single dollar, in an effort to receive a mitigation credit, determine exactly what that dollar benefit will be.

Discuss the possible savings with your agent, determine the total and complete costs involved, & consider the time you plan to live in the house in question. In addition, spend the 100 bucks or so to have a complete, no looking the other way, mitigation by an EXPERIENCED and REPUTABLE wind mitigator.
Take all this and do a cost /benefit analysis and determine if the savings is worth the effort and expense.

I have seen countless homeowners spend thousands to get a discount that was less than 200 dollars on a house the were selling.

I'm looking at $2,450 savings, when all complete. To me that's a semester of college.

Sounds like you have done your homework.

Since you were looking at different Roof/Wall attacments, the difference between Toe nails and clips is often substantial.

However, the difference between Clips and Single Wraps is not very large...($36 on my house).
