| Russ Myers born April 24, 1940, and raised by his Grandparents in the small Midwestern farming community of Attica, Indiana. Russ attended and graduated from the local High School, then went on to spend the next two years studying Civil Engineering at Purdue University, West Lafayette, Ind.. He then enrolled in and graduated from Allied Institute of Technology, Chicago, IL. where he studied HVACR. During this same period he also worked for a Plumbing and Heating Wholesaler where he later became the company’s Service Technician for the then new, A.O. Smith Hydronic Boiler Systems. Five years later Russ joined Westinghouse Electric, where he became Division Manager, HVAC, serving Chicago, Chicago Suburbs, and Northwest Indiana. The position also required extensive worldwide travel. During this period he was also very active in local community activities and served as a Police Detective, Cook County, Suburban Division. Westinghouse Electric, ten years later, being sold to White Industries, inspired Russ to form two businesses, Myers Heating & Cooling, and Myers Electric Service, which he operated simultaneously for many years. Seeking a career change, Russ spent the next twenty years in the Home Inspection industry, forming his own incorporation, Home Analysis Group, Inc., becoming one of the areas largest Home Inspection companys serving Chicago and Suburbs, performing thousands of inspections on both residential and commercial properties Russ joined NACHI ( InterNACHI) in 2002, founded and became the first President of the NACHI ( InterNACHI) Chicago Chapter, founded and became the first President of the Illinois State Chapter of InterNACHI, was a recipient of the InterNACHI Golden Pen Award, served as Chairman of the InterNACHI Educational Committee, and was the first Board Certified Master Inspector in the State of Illinois. Retired to Wisconsin in 2007, where he continues to enjoy his hobbies of hunting and fishing. |
