I don't know your background but my suggestion would be get comfortable with inspecting first. The camera does help and is a wow factor for many, but just starting you should spend money on other items first. buy good quality stuff and get learning

Hey Sean, Im Adam McClintic. I am a new home inspector from ohio. Ive noticed that you are specialized in thermal images and infrared inspections. I have been pricing them online and really dont know if I should even go this directions since I am just statring my own business. There arent many inspectors in this area and I know that they do not do thermal images and infrared inspections. Is it worth doing?
