Frazer Valley - Lower Mainland B.C. Chapter meeting in Abbotsford, Canada October 7th, 2004.

EVERYONE is cordially invited to the next meeting of the Frazer Valley - Lower Mainland B.C. Chapter of the International Association of Certified Home Inspectors (InterNACHI), Thursday, October 7th, 2004 at 6:30pm,  dinner begining at 7pm.  New and veteran home inspectors as well as members of all other associations are all welcome-you need not be a member of InterNACHI. Anyone interested in home inspections can attend. Dress casual if you like as our meetings are informal and fun, the way they should be. Spouses welcome. Come hungry!  $30 at the door.

This meeting is open to all.

1. Nick Gromicko, former veteran REALTOR, ad agency owner and Executive Director of InterNACHI will discuss:

  • Will InterNACHI's Canadian-based Consumer Recovery Fund replace E&O insurance?
  • Converting every call into a scheduled inspection.
  • Raising your prices in B.C. when your competition charges less.

2.  Lorne Steiner, President of Porter Valley Software Inc. will discuss:
  • Avoiding litigation through advanced communication.
  • Better business practices for home inspectors in Canada.
  • InspectVue software.
3.  Floyd Wagner of Aglow Heating and Air, Ltd will discuss:
  • Conventional heating and air conditioning systems.
  • Important "red flags" to look for while conducting an inspection.
4.  Jim Gallant, President of ReportHost will be discussing:
  • Posting your home inspection reports online.

A dinner buffet will be served:
Variety of warm bread rolls with whipped butter, mixed Fraser Valley greens and an assortment of dressings, sliced tomatoes and cucumber, potato salad dijonnaise, choice of 3 other salads, vegetable crudite with tangy dill dip, assorted pickled vegetables and olives, roast baron of beef au jus, herb roasted chicken, vegetarian lasagna, hot seasonal vegetables, choice of potatoes or mix & match hot pasta, scented basmati rice, assorted european pastries and cakes, fresh fruit display, freshly brewed coffee and tea.

Dues: There are currently no dues required to join this Frazer Valley - Lower Mainland B.C. Chapter.  You need not join to attend.  Everyone is welcome including members of other associations (we're all in this together!)  All free except for your dinner: $30/person at the door.  We ask that everyone join us for dinner.  If you cannot afford $30 email Nick and I will help you with the cost so that you may join us for dinner.

Attendance counts as 1 hour toward InterNACHI member continuing education requirements. You need not be a member to attend. All welcome.
