Jeff from Aspen Ridge did a tremendous job inspecting the house that I’m preparing to buy. He was thorough and meticulous throughout the entire process. Along the way, he answered any questions that I raised. Jeff conducted a pre-buy home inspection, radon test, sewer scope, termite inspection, and infra-red heat loss inspection. I hired Jeff at the recommendation of a friend who is a realtor. I was hesitant to use my own realtor’s recommendation as I had heard that in NYC (where I used to live) that sometimes inspectors overlooked things in the interest of the realtor-inspector relationships. I wanted to hire someone who was completely independent of anyone involved in my home-buying transaction. The first house I put an offer in, due to Jeff’s thorough inspection, I actually decided to walk away from. He identified enough challenges that what seemed like would be simple cosmetic changes for move-in, turned out to be potentially more problems. Jeff was great & allowed me to join him on the inspection and he pointed out everything a new homeowner would need to know during the inspection and in the post-inspection reporting. After skipping the first home, Jeff also did the second home inspection for me. While we found some minor issues, it was an extremely thorough inspection and it gave me confidence to move forward on contract with the home. Jeff was excellent! We were at the inspection. Jeff gave frequent updates throughout the three hours it took to complete the inspection.
