SE Florida Chapter meeting August 28th, 2004.

 
EVERYONE is cordially invited to the next meeting of the SE Florida Chapter of the International Association of Certified Home Inspectors (InterNACHI), Saturday August 28th, 2004 at 6pm, (registration starts at 5pm).  New and veteran home inspectors as well as members of all other associations are all welcome-you need not be a member of InterNACHI. Anyone interested in home inspections can attend. Dress casual if you like as our meetings are informal and fun, the way they should be. Spouses welcome. Come hungry!

This meeting is open to all.

1. Nick Gromicko, former veteran REALTOR, ad agency owner and Executive Director of InterNACHI will discuss:

  • Upcoming home inspection licensing in Florida and InterNACHI's legislative successes.
  • How to market your home inspection services directly to home buyers in Florida.
  • How to raise your prices in Florida when your competitors charge less.
  • 20 things you can do to improve your home inspection business.

2.  Harvey Gordon, President of the SE Florida InterNACHI Chapter will discuss:

  • Florida home inspector legislation update.
  • Home inspection licensing in Florida... where do we go from here?
4.  Norma Jean Jalovee of Sea-Tech Construction will discuss:
  • Seawall inspections.

5.  Adam Oullette,  Attorney at Law will discuss:

  • Legal aspects of good inspection agreement.
  • Things every home inspector can do to avoid losing a lawsuit in Florida.

6.  Chris Morrell, InterNACHI's webmaster will discuss:

  • The technical future of home inspections.

7.  Lorne Steiner, Porter Valley Software on:

  • Avoiding litigation. 
  • Inspection software demo.
8.  Also on hand will be InterNACHI's President Joe Hagarty of HouseMaster.
9.  Lots of free stuff:
10.  A great dinner, drinks, and desserts. $30/person.  Bring your spouse.
11.  InterNACHI member Mike Holt www.mikeholt.com donated 10 two day seminars ($295 value each) to be auctioned off for hurricane relief fund.
 
12.  Chris and I will be staying after the meeting to help anyone with their website and/or brochures (so bring your marketing literature).  Harvey Gordon and Joe Hagarty will also be on hand to help inspectors.

Dues: There are currently no dues required to join this SE Florida InterNACHI Chapter. You need not join to attend.  All free except for your dinner: $30.

Take Interstate 95 North to Exit 33A (Cypress Creek Road). Bear right off of the exit and proceed to the second set of lights. Turn left into the Radice Park complex and the hotel is on the left.

From North
Take Interstate 95 South to Cypress Creek and take Exit 33. Turn left onto Cypress Creek and proceed to the second stop light. Turn left into the Radice Park complex and the hotel is on the left.

From East
From Federal Highway (US 1) take Cypress Creek Road West to 62nd Street. Make a right into Corporate Office Park and the hotel is on the left.

From West
From Interstate 75 South, take Exit 19 (Interstate 595 East/SR 869) towards Ft. Lauderdale and West Palm Beach. Merge onto I-595 East towards Interstate 95 North. Proceed North on I-95 to Exit 33A. Bear right off of the exit and proceed to the second set of lights. Turn left into the Radice Park complex and the hotel is on the left.
