hi
are the cracks that are seen in the corners of the interior of a home due to settlment of the house as well as your normal cracks due to settling. I have some cracks in my home in the corners that are pretty decent size that run down from top to half way to the bottom of the floor , should i just seal them and not worry?

Rafael,
Normal house settling and shifting may cause small hairline cracks to occur at door and window openings and at some wall and ceiling joints but when cracks widen as the go along there can be cause for concern.
Without a visual it's tough to say for sure.
You may want to have it inspected for your peace of mind. You can use the "Find an Inspector" on the right side of www.nachi.org web page.

since vertical pressure is magnified as it goes, the source could be at or beyond the smallest part of the crack. is the house brick outside and 2x4 or 2x3 inside? wood settles more than masonry. or maybe a truss let go and roof is flexing?
