I found some kind of wood destroying insects on the vinyl siding. I didn't see this when I first did the exterior inspection. I notice this when I was doing a summary review

In TX, we say wood destroying insects instead of the "T" word unless, of course, you have a pest control license. It helps to tone down your language with the client and keep the identification of the insects to a broad sense. Let the pest control specialist take the liability and call it termites.

Earl how do you know they were wood destroying insects(WDI)? In AZ you have to have a license to say even that. I would be very careful about calling out any infestation unless properly licensed for your area.

I will take on the name Brian and say to the client that I would recommend a pest control specialist. It is possibly some kind of wood destroying insect. I would further say that I am not qualified to make any kind of further assessment due to the limits that the state has put on my inspectors license in regards to pest control.
