I'm looking for a company that would supply a structure of approx 60x130 ft. Not the large massive stadium size.

That’s what I’m looking for but in North America.

The clear pool domes are a bit too light duty for what I want.

Although they would make for a pretty darn good grow house ( lets sunlight through, resistant to moisture damage, and very qickly movable icon_smile.gif ) I simply need extra storage space for machinery.

I have decided on either a coverall type or a pneumatic structure. I have researched the coverall type and are now looking at the pneumatics to compare the two.

Both types easliy span the 60x130ft size that I want.

how about the cost, to run the “fan” or what ever inflates it. and what happens when the motor goes or you loose power? icon_cool.gif

It actually takes surprisingly very little to keep one of these structures inflated. A preasure switch can cycle the fan when needed so it doesn’t need to run constantly if the doors are closed.

If the power goes out then the worst that happens is the unit deflated over the equipment. When the power comes back on it reinflates. A small hole caused by any sharp object from the equipment can still be maintained by the fan untill a patch is made.

hay Paul, what do you think the chances are of some “extreme” home builder converting one of these into an acutual house. you see those t.v. shows all the time whem peopl conver all sorts of structures into a home, like i’ve seen a train car, underground bomb shelter, even a 500,000 gal. water tower. is this next?. if you had a good backup generator for the fan it may work, i guess. icon_cool.gif

Been done.

In the late 1960s, Union Carbide built 'igloo homes' by inflating a structure and coating it with Polyurethane foam. Coated it on the insied and outside with fiberglass. Cut doors and windows.

Hope this helps.
