Just announced: RESNET enters into strategic alliance with InterNACHI

The Residential Services Energy Network (RESNET) announced yesterday that it has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding with the International Association of Certified Home Inspectors “to work together to promote the improvement of the energy performance of existing homes.”

Policies enacted recently by the Obama White House have presented new opportunities in the residential retrofit market, and the two organizations will work together to offer mutual training and certification for InterNACHI members.  Both RESNET and InterNACHI will also work directly with the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) to have InterNACHI members become certified as Home Energy Professionals in order to participate in the DOE’s Home Energy Score pilot programs.
