Hi,
I got some questions about the gas fills and low-E coating in windows.
- Can this kind of low-E coating be applied on plastic, such as liquid crystal polymer?
- What are the materials in low-E coating?
- besides Krypton, is it OK to use Xenon and get the same efficiency as Krypton?
- If Xenon is not the right gas for gas fill, are the reasons such as cost and viscosity?
- what is the max. gap between two panes of double-paned window to prevent gas from convective activity? Is the max. gap related to the size of window, like area of window, or volume of space within double panes?
- If the heat transfer inside the double-paned window is conduction, Xenon has much lower thermal conductivity than Krypton. Has Xenon ever been considered for gas fill?
Thanks,
Michael
