New Inspector asks, "how much insurance to carry?"

I have incorporated and have a very solid contract the customer must sign. I see insurance comes in several packages…specifically, 100,000 - 300,000 - or 500,000 dollars What is the consensus? Is $100,000 enough? I plan on carrying general liability also. Thanks in advance!

I carry a Mill. but i do large commercial inspections also. I think you have to figure what your liability could be and choose accordingly. Contracts are fine but people can sue for anything. Even passing gas on the job :roll:

I also carry 1 Mil

I found that the difference between carrying 1 mil and 100,000 was only a couple of hundred dollars so I took the 1 mil as well.
