Honey, I thought the ad read "Get cozy on new carpet ‘IN FRONT OF’ romantic Fireplace, not ‘IN’ Fireplace!

I’m sure you checked for proper damper operation and the chimney cap, right?

Of course. and carpet stains too!

I like the mirror too. It makes the flames look even better.

Hi to all,

Bob, watch out for those carpet burns, you know how painfull they can be

Regards

Gerry

Bob, that’s hillarious. Thanks for sharing.

Carpeting holds mildew and contaminants, I would replace the carpet with hardwood as there are less allergens with hardwood flooring…

I guess if you don’t start a fire, you would be nice and cozy in these tight quarters. LOL

Hey. Did the same thing for my dog (closed off gas fireplace in an old apartment building).

He likes it, mold or not.

It’s just wall to wall carpeting

Gerry, too funny! It gives carpet burns a whole new meaning.

Michael, there’s no mirrors. It’s a two sided fireplace. Actually, the fireplace was operable. Damper, chimney, flue were all in good shape. It needed a hearth though on both sides. Floors are carpeted right up to the fireplace.
