For me, more important than the scope was the purchase of the tripod…I still haven’t found one that works in the Rocky Mountains the way it should, but a good solid one for the driveway should be easy to find. If that thing moves when set on 60x…you won’t see a thing.
I have a cheap spotting scope that I got for xmas from the family…it was purchased at a discount outlet…and other than it not being a brand name, we don’t have any trouble spotting coyotes at 1000 yards…I mean bad flashing at 100 yards.
