Curious what some of you think about this window flashing. It’s a full brick wall. 1931 built. Should it be caulked or would that trap water inside?

84 years if no sign of dampness why would you change things .
I would be concerned with the window bars in case of fire how do they get out if trapped in that room from the flames ’

True about the bars although not all windows have them. But I agree if they exist they should be able to be opened from the inside.
