Oh… I see now… you are going to force us to watch Paige teach us…
OK… I wll force myself.

Very nice… and helpful too:)

What’s wrong with this handrail?

Too close to the wall.

Also not graspable.
Sideways 2x4’s are not allowed, though we see them all the time.

They are if they have a finger indent (channel or groove) on both sides, I think.

Yeah, but then it is no longer a two by four.

Does not return to the wall.

Paige is not in the picture.

Profile of the flat rail above should look like this.

Not a highly recommended rail type.

If distracted by the spokes-model, as I was, here is the info from 2000-2006

Great job Paige

And…

Good answers.

A person’s safety may depend upon our ability to inspect a stairway.

The purpose of the video is to go over a stairway in detail so that when we’re on an inspection we can recognize and document a defect quickly.

I recommend printing out the stairway checklist and reading it while the video plays. There are details in the checklist that Paige does not go over.

Stairway narratives are available too.

Trying to show profile only Larry, this type of rail does not return to the wall due to the long angle cut, therefore a modified larger piece would have to be used and would not look right, that is why it is not likely recommended, but some Architects still use it.

There is a lot of great information presented in a nice way and, much,
I expect will stay in our mind.
Nice simple method of getting important information out .
Thanks Page and NICK…Cookie

10/4, good buddy.
