2011 Joplin Tornado

Stronger building codes could have saved lives in the Joplin tornado, according to a federal study.

Again, if any lobbyists or RE association preaches about home inspection licensing in Kansas and Missouri again in 2014, they better have stronger, and mandatory state wide building codes, the enforcement program to monitor all home building and construction, and hire hundreds of inspectors to verify the proper building of properties in every city and county. Home builders and construction workers must also all be licensed and insured, and monitored by the state, in order to properly construct homes, all by the suggestion of the federal government.

All to save lives, and to serve consumers. As inspectors, we need to know if a defect is truly a defect.
